About — the human, not the résumé

Designer first, researcher always.

M.Des in Product Design, IIT Hyderabad; BFA in Computer Graphics, Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Art. Based in Pune, India — usually within reach of good coffee.

I work narrow and deep — a small number of problems studied properly, rather than a long list skimmed. The aim is work that earns trust by what it refuses to overclaim.

Ask away.

The questions a supervisor or hiring lead always asks — answered before you have to. Short answers; the work has the detail.

01What are you looking for?

A fully funded PhD in HCI, XR, or human-centered and systems design. Open to selective design work alongside.

02What's your research focus?

Knowledge transfer — how tacit, hard-to-articulate expertise moves between people — and circular systems such as digital product passports.

03Have you published?

Yes. First-author, peer-reviewed work. Method and data are documented in each case study.

04What methods do you use?

Interviews, thematic analysis, inter-rater reliability (Cohen's Kappa), usability testing, and prototyping — chosen so results can be checked, not just asserted.

05Can I see detailed case studies?

Each project page states the problem, method, and outcome. Full write-ups and papers are linked where available.

06How do I reach you?

Email is best — yashbhagat.4199@gmail.com. I reply within a day or two.

Get in touch

Tell me about the program or the project — a line is enough.

I read everything and answer within a day or two. We'll work out whether it's a fit, and what comes next.

Under construction — pardon the dust.
